SMD2835 light strip

2835 is the most widely used and most mature package form. Power from 0.1W to 1W, widely used in various downlights, brackets, light strips, and even outdoor lamps, floodlights and so on.

The 2835 package generally only has two pads, positive and negative, so monochromatic temperature lamp beads are mainly used. However, we also have two-color temperature light strips, which have stable performance, good heat dissipation and high luminous efficiency, and are the most common type of light strips.


COB light strip

COB means chips on board, which means that the light-emitting chips are directly placed on the substrate, so there is no need for gold wires and brackets. A layer of phosphor powder is then potted on the surface. This is a relatively novel light strip product, which has the advantages of high brightness, uniform light-emitting strips, and no graininess. Moreover, it is more tensile than ordinary SMD light strips. With the development of the market, it will be the mainstream of light strips in the future.



color temperature

2800-3500K, generally dominated by 3000K, called warm light, (also called warm white light)

Light strip installation precautions

1 Prohibition of live work

The light strip is an LED lamp bead welded on a flexible circuit board with a special processing technology. After the product is installed, it is energized and lit, mainly used for decorative lighting applications. The commonly used types are 12V and 24V low-voltage light strips. In order to avoid damage to the light strip due to mistakes during the use and installation operation, it is strictly forbidden to operate the light strip when installing the light strip product.

2 Light strip storage requirements

The silica gel of the LED light strip itself has moisture absorption properties. The light strip should be stored in a dry and sealed environment. It is recommended that the storage period should not be too long. Please use or reseal it in time after unpacking. Please do not unpack it before use.

3 Check the product before power on
When the whole roll of light strips is not detached from the coil, packaging or piled up in a ball, do not energize the light strip to avoid serious heat generation and cause LED failure.

4 It is strictly forbidden to press the LED with sharp and hard objects

The light strip is an LED light welded on a copper wire or a flexible circuit board. When the product is installed, it is recommended not to press the surface of the LED directly with fingers or hard objects. Damaged dead lights.

5 When installing, pay attention to the neat and tidy surface

Before installing the light strip, please keep the installation surface clean and free of dust or dirt, so as not to affect the sticking of the light strip. When installing the light strip, do not tear off the release paper on the adhesive surface at one time, so as not to damage the lamp beads when the light strips stick to each other during installation, you should tear off the paper while installing. The surface of the light strip installation platform must be flat, especially the light strip connection board, so as to avoid the light strip being prone to failure and uneven light on the surface affecting the overall effect.

6 Do not twist the light strip when installing
During the installation process of the product, it is strictly forbidden to twist the light strip body, so as not to cause the lamp beads to break or the components to fall off. During the installation process of the product, it is strictly forbidden to use external force to pull, and the light strip bears the pulling force ≤60N.

7 Pay attention to the angle of rotation when installing
During the installation of the light strip, in order to ensure the life and reliability of the light strip, please do not fold the product into a right-angle bend, and the bending arc of the light strip should be greater than 50mm to avoid damage to the light strip circuit board.

8 light strip cutting
When the light strip is installed, according to the length of the installation on site, when there is a cutting situation, the light strip should be cut from the spot marked with scissors mark on the surface of the light strip. After the waterproof product is cut, it needs to be waterproofed at the cutting position or at the end.

9 It is strictly forbidden to use acid sealant
After authoritative tests, due to the gas or liquid volatilized from the acid adhesive and quick-drying adhesive during curing, it has a great impact on the service life and luminous effect of the LED light source. It is recommended not to use it when installing the light strip. Acid sealant.

Light strip product wiring precautions



1 Connect the power according to the product manual
Wiring is carried out according to the product manual (specification) stipulated in the number of cascaded products, considering the current carrying of the wires and the difference in brightness between the beginning and the end, and it is strictly forbidden to connect too many in series. (Example: The maximum number of cascades for R0060AA single-ended power supply is 5 meters. When single-ended power supply is used, the input end of the light strip is connected to the main line, and no more products can be connected in series at the rear end of the light strip.

2 The main line should not be too long
The length of the main line between the DC power supply and the lamp should be as short as possible, and it is recommended that the maximum length should not exceed 5 meters; for long dark grooves, it is recommended to use the 220V main line and multi-power installation.

3 Correctly connect the positive and negative poles
The light strip is generally powered by DC12V/24V (direct current), and there are positive and negative poles. Gray (or red) is the positive pole, and white (or black) is the negative pole. If the LED light strip is reversed, it will not light; it cannot be directly connected to the AC220V of the mains, so as not to burn the light strip.

4 Insulation treatment
After the light strip wire is connected with the main wire, the connection point should be insulated. If it is welded on the light strip, use heat shrinkable tube or corresponding waterproof plug for reinforcement or waterproof treatment.
