On December 1, Mulinsen (002745) issued the "Announcement on Signing a Memorandum of Cooperation with Related Parties".

The announcement stated: Mulinsen, Landvance Operation Management (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Harmony Excellence Investment Center (Limited Partnership) signed a "Memorandum of Cooperation" on November 30, 2021 to jointly fund the establishment of a new company, LEDVANCE ENERGY SOLUTIONS CHINA, The new company is mainly engaged in overseas distributed household and commercial photovoltaic systems and integrated photovoltaic systems. Its business scope includes the research and development, design, manufacturing, sales and services of related products. The total investment in the first phase of the project is planned to be RMB 1 billion.

Mulinsen said that Harmony and Excellence has an in-depth layout in the upstream and downstream of the photovoltaic and energy storage industry chain. Landvance is the world's top two international general lighting brand, and has a good foundation for business development in terms of brand influence and channels. This cooperation is in line with global energy development and my country's guidelines for "carbon neutrality and carbon peaking". All parties will give full play to their respective advantages to form industrial interaction. In the context of global carbon reduction, the market for photovoltaics and energy storage is huge. In the future, the company will regard photovoltaics and energy storage as the company's strategic business.

The announcement mentioned that the current international community has basically reached a consensus on addressing global climate change through emission reduction and carbon reduction, and "carbon neutrality" has become an inevitable choice for addressing global climate change. In order to achieve the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality", the proportion of renewable energy power generation represented by wind power and photovoltaic will be further increased. Some institutions predict that by 2050, more than 60% of the world's electricity supply will come from solar and wind energy.

In terms of policy, in April 2021, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Energy Administration issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of New Energy Storage (Draft for Comment)". This is the first time that a quantitative energy storage development goal has been clearly proposed at the national level, that is, by 2025, Realize the transition from the initial stage of commercialization to large-scale development of new energy storage. The installed capacity of new energy storage is more than 30 million kilowatts, that is, to maintain an average annual growth rate of 50-70%; by 2030, realize the full market-oriented development of new energy storage. The installed capacity of energy storage basically meets the corresponding needs of the new power system.
